Decommissioning
As per Petroleum Act 1998 (UK), at the end of subsea asset economic life, detailed decommissioning program will need to be submitted to Offshore Petroleum Regulator for Environment and Decommissioning (OPRED).
Our consultant engineers can help either operators or subsea contractors manage the decommissioning work packages.
The experienced consultant engineers will manage the full scope of work packages including liaising with reputable Waste Management Contractors.
This can either be the following (but not limited to):
Removal of concrete mattresses
Removal of manifolds, riser bases and other subsea structures
Removal of subsea risers, umbilicals, flowlines and jumpers
Removal of spools, pipelines between buried sections (rockdumped) and subsea structures
Removal and recovery of piles
Recovery of any subsea debris that is prohibiting fishing activities
